Meet Our Directors
Trenton Davis, Director of Choirs
Trenton Davis is in his sixteenth year of teaching and fourth as the Director of Choirs at Allen High School. Prior to joining the Allen Independent School District, Davis taught nine years in West Texas for the Midland and Ector County Independent School Districts. Choirs under the direction of Davis have toured Croatia, Italy, New York City, Hawaii, and Florida, received consistent superior ratings at UIL Evaluations, and many have earned membership in the Texas All-State Choir Ensembles. In 2019, Davis conducted the Lee High School Varsity Treble as an Invited Choir at the Texas Music Educators Association Convention in San Antonio.
Mr. Davis has received numerous awards and accolades, including being selected for the 2024 University Interscholastic League (UIL) Sponsor Excellence Award and named the 2023 Lowery Freshman Center Teacher of the Year. He was also recognized as one of Midland Magazine’s “Top 20 Under 40 Young Professionals,” is a two-time recipient of the Teacher in Excellence Award for Fine Arts, and was honored as a “Recognized Alumnus” by the University of Texas of the Permian Basin for Exceptional Professional Achievement in Music Education. Davis is a proud member of TMEA, ACDA, TMAA, and TCDA, and currently serves as the TMEA Region 25 Vocal Chairman. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Texas of the Permian Basin and a Master of Music in Choral Conducting from Texas Tech University. Trenton is married to his best friend, Kaitlin, and they live in Allen with their daughters, Clara and Eleanor.
Cathy Koziatek, Allen High School Choir Director
Cathy Koziatek is beginning her twenty-seventh year of teaching and her second year at Allen High School. She has served as both head director and associate director of choirs in Plano ISD (Plano West Senior High School), Lovejoy ISD (Lovejoy High School), Wylie ISD (Wylie East High School), and Prosper ISD (Walnut Grove High School). Choirs under her direction have performed at the Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) convention and the Southwest Division Conference of the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA). Her ensembles have been consistent UIL Concert & Sight-Reading Sweepstakes winners, and many of her students have earned placement in the Texas All-State Choirs. However, she is most proud of the many students who continue to use their vocal skills after high school—as members of church choirs, community choirs, a cappella groups, musical theatre productions, or as music educators themselves.
“Ms. Kozi” is a frequent adjudicator and clinician throughout the Metroplex, known for her expertise in vocal technique and development. She teaches at summer All-State Choir Camps at the University of North Texas and Southern Methodist University. In addition to her work with choirs, Ms. Koziatek has presented professional development workshops for teachers on topics including music education, classroom instruction, and leadership. Ms. Koziatek earned both her Bachelor and Master of Music degrees in Vocal Performance from the University of North Texas, with related fields in Music Theory and Vocal Pedagogy. She later completed her K–12 music certification and taught private voice lessons for several years before moving into classroom teaching. She continues to sing professionally.
Outside of school, Ms. Koziatek enjoys creative pursuits, reading, watching British mysteries, laughing with her best friends, and spending time with her adorable Havanese pups, Kiki and Sunshine.
Kaitlin Davis, Lowery Freshman Center Director of Choirs
Kaitlin Davis is beginning her tenth year of teaching and her third year as Director of Choirs at the Lowery Freshman Center. An alumnus of Texas Tech University, Mrs. Davis graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Music Education and Vocal Performance. Davis began her career in 2014 as a Middle School Choir Director in Odessa and Midland, TX, and then as head director at her high school alma mater, Robert E. Lee Freshman High School in Midland, TX until 2020.
Choirs under direction of Davis have received numerous awards from Music Festivals in Amarillo, Lubbock, San Antonio, and Dallas, as well as consecutive UIL superior ratings for several soloists and choral ensembles. In 2021-2022, after taking time to raise her oldest daughter, Mrs. Davis taught private voice lessons to students in the metroplex area preparing students for the All-State Choir process and UIL Solo & Ensemble Competition. Mrs. Davis was the Head Choir Director at Shepton High School in Plano from 2022-2023, where all choral ensembles received UIL Sweepstakes Ratings under her direction. Mrs. Davis is a member of TCDA, TMEA, and ACDA and resides in Allen with her husband, Trenton Davis and their two daughters, Clara and Eleanor.
Isaac Bradley, LFC & AHS Choir Director
Isaac Bradley is in his fifth year of teaching and his first at the secondary level with Allen High School and Lowery Freshman Center. Prior to joining the Allen Independent School District, Bradley taught four years of PK-5 Elementary Music in Birdville Independent School District. While there, Bradley taught over 800 students each year and directed a choir of over 80 3rd -5th graders who yearly earned superior ratings. Following his elementary music teaching, Bradley earned his Master of Music in Church Music and Choral Conducting at Baylor University. As a full-time student, Bradley rehearsed and performed as conductor with each choral ensemble at the University as a Graduate Teaching Associate, supervised undergraduate student teachers at their elementary music placements, and served as the Music Associate at a local church.
In his first year of teaching, Mr. Bradley won the First-Year Teacher of the Year award for Birdville Independent School District and was an inductee of Weatherford College’s Jack Harvey Academy of Exemplary Teachers. In graduate school, Bradley was selected to participate in Choral Conducting Symposiums at the University of North Texas, Texas State University, and the University of Missouri Kansas City. Bradley is a proud member of TMEA, ACDA, and TCDA. He holds a Bachelor of Choral Music Education and a Master of Music in Church Music and Choral Conducting from Baylor University. Isaac is a proud son of his late mother, Brenda, and father, Randall.
Outside of school, Mr. Bradley enjoys traveling with his family and Baylor missions, following
current movie culture, being goofy with friends, and spending time with his closest people.
