Supplemental Music Enrichment Program Information
Supplemental voice lessons are available to Allen ISD students as enrichment to classroom instruction. These lessons are designed to utilize the characteristic literature of the voice, rather than to rehearse the music a student will be performing in choir. Participation in these supplemental lessons is optional, but highly encouraged.
Student’s Responsibilities to the Supplemental Music Teacher:
1. Be fully committed to take lessons the entire 2024-2025 school year.
2. Be fully prepared for each lesson
3. Supply method books and other materials as required by the private teacher
4. Participate in all activities required as a condition of private study
5. Follow guidelines pertaining to absenteeism
Lesson Location and Scheduling: Lessons are scheduled once a week for the entire school year, and will be 25 minutes in length. Lessons may be scheduled during the student’s choir class, lunch period, and before or after school. No lessons will be scheduled during a non-music class. It will be the responsibility of the student to notify his/her voice teacher by email, text or phone call at least 24 hours in advance if a lesson is to be canceled, unless of course, a serious emergency arises.
Financial Implication: $24.00/lesson
Payment: Cash, check, or other options offered by voice teacher. All monies will go directly to the private instructor. Tuition is billed by the month, and due at the first lesson of the new month. Monthly invoices will be sent out by the voice instructor. Please keep track of these as they will most likely come via email.
Commitment and Registration: Please carefully consider your ability to remain consistent to your commitment to your voice lessons for the ENTIRE school year. Please email your choir teacher with any questions.
